Selena plays the maid of honor in My Fiancée's Best Friend, a five-part CandyShorts story with every episode under two minutes. We rate it Scorching.
Where episode 1 leaves you
Selena arrives to do her maid-of-honor duties and tells the groom, Nick, she will win him over by Friday. She has her toast ready: warm about the bride, one line about him.
Nick's fiancée says Selena asks about him on every phone call. Selena denies hating him. She says she just doubts he is good enough, and sets a test: meet her at the venue tomorrow at noon to help with her dress.
Their banter is the engine: each insult reads as flirting a little more than the last, and the wedding date keeps ticking in the background.
Episode 2 follows the premise that her dislike was cover for years of wanting him.
The two women
Selena is the lead and Gia is the bride's side of the story. Both are Candy characters and there is no star twin. If the older-woman angle appeals, My One-Night Stand Is My Girlfriend's Mom sits nearby.
