Candy AI tokens: how many each series burns

It depends on the series type and on who leads it. Standard series charge 12 tokens an episode from episode 3, rising to 30 if a licensed AI twin stars. Spicy series charge 30, or 50 for a star's AI twin. Checked in November 2026.

Episodes run under two minutes. A token is spent per episode you open, so a long series adds up faster than its length suggests. For the access side of this table, see how CandyShorts unlocked episodes work.

Count the paid episodes, then multiply. A five episode standard series has three paid ones: 3 × 12 = 36 tokens. The same length with an AI twin star costs 3 × 30 = 90 tokens.

Longer runs scale in the same way. Couples Therapy With Margot Vey is a five episode standard series and costs 36 tokens in total. Blackout At My Yacht Party is Spicy with a star's AI twin and runs 10 episodes, so you pay 8 × 50 = 400 tokens (episodes 1 and 2 come with Premium).

At the other end, the longest run is YES MA'AM, at 35 episodes as of November 2026. Its 396 tokens in total equal 33 paid episodes at 12 each (33 × 12 = 396).

One exception: Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right waives tokens at episode 3 (Premium is enough there), then charges 12 per episode, 144 tokens in total.

These totals come from the series pages on this site, checked in November 2026. Each total counts only the paid episodes.

Read the last column against your 100 monthly tokens. A 36 token series fits in one month. A 400 token series needs several months of plan tokens or extra packs.

Each Premium plan comes with a monthly allowance of 100 tokens, and top ups are sold in packs. Entry level is a pack near $9.99 for 100 tokens.

Extra packs matter when your plan tokens run out mid series. Since the pack price is a rounded figure on the site, treat any per token math as an estimate and check the checkout screen before you pay.

Your monthly 100 pays for eight standard episodes (8 × 12 = 96), or three at 30 tokens (3 × 30 = 90). Plan prices are in the Candy Shorts Premium guide.

Pick the series before you pay, then open episodes in order. Each series page on this site lists its total, so you know the bill before episode 3.

• Check the lead: an AI twin star raises the price from 12 to 30, or from 30 to 50 on Spicy.
• Finish a series before starting another, so tokens do not pile up unused.
• Watch episodes 1 and 2 free first, where the series is standard, to see if the premise works for you.

Our take: start with a standard five episode series at 36 tokens. It shows you the format at a modest cost, and your monthly tokens leave room for a second one.

Per the Candy.ai terms, your balance ends with the subscription and cannot move to another account. Spend tokens inside the period you paid for.

The terms also hold a refund rule: ask within 24 hours, and stay at or under 20 spent tokens. Opening two standard episodes after episode 2 (2 × 12 = 24 tokens) already crosses that line, so decide early.

The first mistake is paying before reading the lead. A series led by a licensed AI twin costs more than a standard one of the same length, so check the star before episode 3.

The second is opening episodes you will not finish. Tokens are spent when you open an episode, and the 20 token refund limit counts them. Watch episodes 1 and 2 first, and only then commit.

The third is treating the monthly 100 as a bank. Unspent tokens end with your plan, so a long plan does not store them forever. Spend them while the plan is active, and match the series length to the months you hold.
