A beach house and a surprise guest set up Lena The Plug Stole My Boyfriend, five CandyShorts episodes under two minutes each. Lena's licensed AI twin has the lead, and we rate it Scorching.
Episode 1, from the alarm clock to the dance floor
Ryan oversleeps in an empty beach house, and his girlfriend Delilah announces a change of plans: her best friend Lena caught an earlier flight. Delilah has not seen her in two years and cannot wait.
Lena arrives and takes in Ryan with open interest. Delilah praises him for being so attentive lately, and Lena's replies carry a second meaning. Then the three of them start dancing.
By the official synopsis, the two women move from friends to rivals to something more tangled by the weekend, with Delilah no longer just watching.
The best minutes of episode 1 are the quiet ones: Lena says little, watches a lot, and lets Delilah's compliments do the damage.
The cast and the AI twin
Lena is the AI twin of Lena The Plug: she licensed her image to Candy.ai and took no part in any filming. Delilah and Ryan are Candy characters. For another triangle with a clear power balance, see Couples Therapy With Margot Vey.
