Mica Sarasola, a Candy character, leads Forgive Me, Father. It is a CandyShorts series with five episodes, each under two minutes, and it rates Scorching.
The confession
The first episode starts with a moment already in motion, then backs up to a Sunday service. Mica greets the priest at the door, praises his sermon and singles out the part about resisting temptation.
Later she asks to confess. When he asks about her sin, she says it concerns her new priest. The episode stops there, and the confessional becomes the setting for everything that follows.
Episode 2 is told at premise level: an affair that could cost him his whole congregation, with the town watching on Sundays.
The small-town setting matters: everyone knows everyone, the church is the center of the week, and a single glance across the pews can be noticed. That pressure is what the series plays with, more than any single scene.
