She just walks in
Daisy turns up at the door and tells her stepbrother she is staying all summer, and that it is already settled. His girlfriend meets her with a compliment, and Daisy repays it by getting comfortable at once. She arrives straight from a trip and claims the shower within minutes, and his girlfriend notices the towel before he does.
He decides to speak with her, then a knock at the door ends the episode. In episode 2 the girlfriend grows curious, and the triangle starts to shift.
Daisy is deliberately provocative from the first minute, and the stepbrother tries to stay composed with his girlfriend nearby. Her arrival is a problem he cannot talk his way out of.
The three of them
Daisy Brannock, her stepbrother and his girlfriend are all adults, with a step link that stems from their parents' marriage. They are Candy characters.
The girlfriend is not a bystander. By the official summary she wants in on what is going on, which turns the setup into a triangle.
