After hours
The story is told from his side. He admits he could not concentrate with Bree in front of him, and she has noticed. She tells him to stay once the evening session ends and makes him answer her with the same two words.
She calls his staring the whole problem. She sends him off, catches him lingering, and then offers a private session at nine that night. Tomorrow he is back with the rest of the group; tonight it is just the two of them.
From the synopsis, episode 2 raises the stakes: his girlfriend catches the two of them.
Everything hangs on the invitation. There is no argument about whether he will show up, only about what he will say once he does, and that is where the two-word rule matters.
Who plays whom
The pair are the whole show, with the girlfriend arriving later as the complication.
