A shared compartment on an overnight train is where Midnight Compartment unfolds: five CandyShorts episodes, none past two minutes, led by Veronica Parker. Our heat label: Scorching.
Compartment 12
On a company trip, our narrator opens the door to compartment 12 and finds his boss and his boss's wife, the woman he has secretly thought about for a long time. He says there must be an error, since the compartment he was assigned is this one. The boss tells him it belongs to the two of them and orders him out.
His wife stops that: surely he will not make a colleague sleep in the corridor. He gets to stay. Then she says she is cold, and a stray thought crosses his mind about what that might mean. He fears for his job. She tells him her husband sees him as the favorite employee, and adds that he is hers too. The episode ends on her suggestion that he warm her up.
Episode 2 stays at the synopsis: she keeps closing the distance through the night, and he cannot be caught.
