The weekend visit
Tyler, 22, comes home for the weekend. Josie has just been left for a 24-year-old, and she asks him whether she looks old. She mentions years of keeping fit that her husband never noticed, and Tyler is the one who finally does. He reminds her that she is his stepmom.
She keeps asking anyway, and the question hangs over a tense, quiet scene. He says this is wrong. She notes that his hand is shaking.
He promises to come back on Sunday to talk. She asks him to stay the weekend, since she does not want to sleep alone. Episode 2 follows from there.
Josie and her stepson
Josie Villanueva is a Candy character, and Tyler is her adult stepson, a tie that comes from her marriage and not from blood.
